The Move
Where are the days going? I cannot get over how fast things are happening and how time is flying by. Before I know it summer will be here and the kids will be out of school and I will be stuck working 10 hour days.
The move went great. I drove the U-Haul and did great at it!!! My sister came over from Naples to help out, and she was a huge help in many different ways. I also had 3 people from work load the truck and then another friend from work came with his twin boys to help unload. They stayed and put the bunk beds together and put together my new cabinet to store my pantry items. My girlfriend ran to the store and got them drinks, chips and ice while my sister bought pizza. I even had a surprise visit from Pat (my other mother) while we were unloading. It really was a great day and I was to busy to let my emotions get the best of me! I have a few boxes left to unpack and things to hang on the wall, but it is coming together. The old place is a wreck and I wish it would just disappear from my mind, but it won't. I have to go over there and clean and have another garage sale next weekend. What ever doesn't get sold is going to Goodwill, Faith Farm or the curb.
The majority of the kids are handling it very well other than the fact we don't have internet... My youngest daughter is really having a difficult with this. She has OCD and doesn't do change very well and there have been MANY changes the past few months. She has had breakdowns everyday since we moved and it is going to take some time for her to adjust. Thank goodness for Therapy Thursday's because Ms. Sherry can work her magic and help her work on her discomfort and anxiety about everything that is going on.
I am handling things pretty well too. I had a few mini moments on friday where it was hard to hold myself together, but the kids were around so I put on my big girl panties and sucked it up... Thank goodness for Ms. Nancy because Mommy has her therapy appointment this friday as long as Daddy can watch the little two.
Well, lunch is over so back to work for me!
